Eco-Chic Holiday Gift Guide - Part One

Posted on

Every year, my bestie and I exchange holiday boxes. It's difficult to explain how wonderful it is to receive a box full of goodies from the other side of the country, carefully selected by a person who knows me inside and out. Since we are both animal loving-eco-concious-local shoppers, we tend to send each other our own favorites from our local area. As I was packing up her gift box, I realized I needed to share my personal faves from around our fair city. Don't worry if you are not in Victoria...most of them ship to you! (Also: Heather if you are reading this, stop or you will ruin the surprise!)

Shanti Collective

The Shanti Collective is the creative child of the lovely Rachel Hurst. She makes the most beautiful and meaningful Mala necklaces for men and women. For any one on your list who wants to bring more mindfulness to their life.

 Paradise Boutique

Paradise Boutique boasts the most amazing collection of beautiful dresses, scarves, jewellery and the best locally made bathing suits you have ever seen. Also home to the sweet local sustainable brand Ola Dubois. Lovely dresses made of vintage fabric by the co-owner Dani. I love that they are reversible!

For the coffee lover in your life, the Bosk cups from Robazzo are beautiful, sustainable, stackable and just plain awesome. Made of recycled marble dust, as usual Andrew, Christina, Sarah and team do not disappoint. The Robazzo team is near and and dear to my heart as they make our Elate display system for our wholesale partners, and now I have even more reasons to love them! (as if I needed more)

I usually make all my holiday skin care gifts, but I had to make and exception this year for the Nezza Naturals Red Clay Cleanser and Seaweed Scrub. These two fabulous products have made their way on to my shelf more than once this year, and will be making their way into a few stockings as well.

Unlimited One

This beautiful essential oil roll on is called Unlimited one. The essential oil blend with Rose, Clary Sage, Sweet Orange and Patchouli is designed to uplift your heart and comfort your spirit, and with a subtle citrus floral earthy scent-it does just that.  Full disclosure - I designed this aromatherapy roll on fragrance for yoUnlimited - which is only part of the reason I think it is sooo fabulous! This is the first of 3 scents to be released next year, and all the proceeds go to funding the various projects and charities that yoUnlimited is involved with. Get yours here at Elate Beauty starting next week, or if you are in Victoria you can treat yourself at 24 Carrot Learning or any yoUnlimited event.

Part two will be out next week...stay tuned for more great local gift ideas!

I wish you love, both given and received. xo Melodie
