Agile Gloss: How to Rock a Metallic Lip

Posted on

We always see new trends and products being released that sometimes seem a little... out there. Maybe you see an Instagram famous model wearing the latest lip colour but when you try it at home it just isn't "right". This feeling can be frustrating and discouraging. But don't lose hope! Just because a product used one way doesn't work for you, it doesn't mean you should write it off completely! Makeup has no rules, and in this post I'll be sharing a few of my favourite tips when using the latest trend: metallic lips.

The metallic lip trend is reminiscent of the 90's frosted lip with a modern twist. "Agile" lipgloss has been re-released for our Holiday 2016 collection. "Agile" is  gorgeous bronze, metallic lipgloss made with cinnamon essential oil for a warm, cozy holiday feeling. The tiny, golden reflects within the gloss pick up and reflect the light, creating a metallic finish. The key to rocking a metallic lip is to be comfortable in it. There are a number of ways to incorporate some metallic magic into your life!

If you prefer a natural look, a sheer layer of "Agile" gloss paired with a light dusting of our pressed powder foundation and a coat of mascara will have you prepared for whatever your day throws at you!

If you're someone who loves to get glam, a bronze look is a perfect way to shake the winter blues. My favourite is "Agile" paired with a wine smokey eye using "Flare" eyeshadow and "Joy" gold eyeliner, complimented with a faux summer glow with our "Goddess Glow Bronzer" and some contouring. Then you're ready for your holiday party!

"Agile" is stunning by itself, however, if you are a fan of layering your lipsticks and glosses here are a few of my favourites! "Agile" looks amazing on top of our neutral lipsticks such as Vivacious, Chance and Naked. Concentrating the gloss to the centre of the lips will help create a more full appearance.

I hope this helped to demystify the trend of the metallic lip gloss, it's not as scary as it may seem! Remember, makeup is meant to be fun. Happy playing!

xoxo Ali
