Do you offer samples to test out certain products/shades?

Yes, we offer samples of all of our foundation and concealers so that you can find the perfect shade before committing. Our sample options can now be found one each individual product's page.

What if I order the wrong shade? Can it be exchanged?

We recognize ordering cosmetics online can be hard. Once you purchase, if you decide the product is just not for you, we offer an exchange for 15 days. You are responsible to pay the return postage, and your replacement product will be sent on us. Please send an email to and we will give you instructions on how to return your item.

Our policy lasts 15 days. If 15 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you an exchange.

How will my order come packed?

We use water soluble packing peanuts made from corn to pack your order. Any plastic you may find for added protection is alway re-used by our company and never purchased. If you are taking a plastic free challenge or have a plastic free lifestyle please let us know in the notes section at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How will my products come packaged?

In an effort to reduce waste all products come exactly as picture on our site, no additional boxes or packaging here. All pressed powder products come in seed paper, that can then be planted in your garden to sprout wildflowers or herbs. We recommend also purchasing a bamboo compact or palette to store all of your pressed powder products in.

Can I buy products at your Headquarters?

Although we are here Monday to Friday the studio at our Headquarters is currently only open on Fridays from 10-6. Feel free to pop by during that time to pick up your Elate essentials or book a consultation with our makeup artist by emailing

Are your products organic?

Our ingredients are about 90% organic. We strive to make our ingredients as organic as possible but will always choose fair trade over organic if we are unable to have both. It is important to us that every person involved in the making of our cosmetics is treated ethically and fairly.

Where does your bamboo come from?

Our bamboo comes from China, where we work closely with a green certified, fair trade manufacturer. All our bamboo is water processed, not chemically treated.

Is the Titanium Dioxide you use nano-sized?

No, all of our products are free of nano-sized particles.

What is the life span of your products?

Like all cosmetics there is a safe life span for our products. The majority of our products have a 2 year shelf life as long as they are unopened. Once they are used it varies anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the product. All life span recommendations can be found on our packaging.


Do your products contain any nuts?

Yes, we use Shea Butter and Coconut in many of our products. Those are the only two used, but are products aren't made in a nut-free facility so we cannot guarantee any other contamination.

Do your cosmetics contain any wheat?

Our products are 100% gluten free and safe for use by celiacs.
